Full-Time, Trained Wine Stewards
Your wine is in professional, capable hands. Our wine stewards receive extensive background checks and training in how to safely handle your collection. They’re also required to complete and pass the Wine & Spirits Education Trust Level Il course, with most choosing to continue with Level II courses as well. Our dedicated team of warehouse and customer service professionals are the heart of our operation. Their commitment to clients—and to caring for your wine as if it were their own—has been a driving force behind our continued growth and expansion.
Condition Verification
Because most of our clients never see the bottles they purchase—whether from retail, auctions, or third-party shippers, we place a strong emphasis on transparency and care. During the inventory processing phase, our team thoroughly inspects every bottle. If any discrepancies are found, such as cracked capsules, low-fill levels, label damage, or signs of seepage, we document these issues with high-quality photographs and immediately email them to you. This ensures you’re always informed and in control of your collection, no matter where in the world you are.
Virtual MWC Cellar
All client property is meticulously cataloged in our proprietary inventory management system, a virtual MWC Cellar, that provides clients with complete transparency and control over their collection. Our expert wine stewards document up to 12 data fields for each bottle entered into your MWC Cellar platform, ensuring detailed and accurate records. We keep clients aware of noteworthy observations and reconcile incoming shipments against packing lists to assist in identifying discrepancies with vendors. The secure platform also allows clients to review and manage inventory; schedule deliveries or pickups, and generate detailed inventory and activity reports in a Microsoft Excel or PDF format.
Storage Deliveries and Shipments
Deliveries are made in our temperature-controlled vans throughout the tri-state area daily. We also facilitate daily shipping via third-party carriers to destinations around the world. Clients can schedule online or over the phone within 24 hours of a delivery or shipment need. We also provide temperature-controlled cross-country consolidations from vendors and producers on the West Coast to help keep our clients’ wine purchases safe and transportation costs at a minimum.
Integrated Retail Operation
MWC can assist with the sale of all or part of your wine collection. Because we stand behind every bottle we offer, our retail shop only considers acquiring wines with impeccable provenance from well-established collections. We provide prompt and accurate sale appraisals, ensuring a seamless experience. Additionally, thanks to our strong relationships with major wine auction houses, we regularly help clients offload unwanted bottles to the market safely and efficiently. We are well-versed in working within tight timelines and have the expertise to ensure your lots (wines) make it to sale without issue.
