Bourgneuf is a great producer in the Pomerol appellation in Bordeaux right next door to Chateau Trotanoy. Pomerol of course makes Merlot-driven blends, and this wine is composed of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. The warm, sunny ’22 vintage is on display as this wine showcases the fleshy nature of Merlot in an early-drinking, elegant style. Best to decant this for few hours before enjoying!
