Please join us on Wednesday, May 7th, as we welcome Faustine Abbatucci, daughter of dynamic Corsican winemaker Jean-Charles Abbatucci, for an exclusive tasting. From a general in the French Revolution to a local defender of indigenous grapes, the Abbatucci family have always championed the underdog. Founded in the 1950’s by Antoine Abbatucci, Antoine rescued endangered native Corsican vines by taking cuttings from local farmers and replanting them on a single slope rich in granite, while also creating a library of varieties to carry Domaine Abbatucci into the future. In the great Corsican tradition of independence, his son Jean-Charles, now blazes his own trail!
This is a free tasting event that will take place at our shop on 540 West 28th Street from 5:30-6:30pm. Faustine will be on hand to guide us through an exciting lineup. If you’ve never had the pleasure of drinking these wines, this is a wonderful opportunity to see first hand why we can’t drink enough of them!
