Dominio Del Águila - Ribera Del Duero, Picaro Del Aguila, Clarete Viñas Viejas 2016 (750ml)
$32.99 | 24+ Available
Domino del Águila’s Picaro Clarete is a revival of a traditional wine not often found in Ribera del Duero anymore: Clarete. Their Picaro Clarete is made by co-fermenting whole cluster red Tempranillo and white Albillo grapes. Fermented and aged in oak, this structured yet refreshing pink wine has both texture and acid in spades. The estate was founded in 2010 by husband and wife team Isabel Rodero & Jorge Monzón. Jorge had previously trained at legendary wineries like Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Vega Sicilia. He organically farms 50-year-old vines near the village of La Aguilera in Ribera del Douro. Picaro Clarete works well with grilled foods and summer salads and can also handle some cellar age (a la Lopez de Heredia Rosé). If you want a compelling bottle of pink wine, look no further.
