Dear MWC Storage Clients-

As you may recall from one of our email announcements earlier this year, we have been hard at work developing new IT systems to improve your digital access to your storage account. Today we are excited to announce that we have concluded our Beta testing period and are going to take the new systems live starting November 2nd!

To that end, please submit any pickup or pull requests into the VPC by no later than 3pm this Thursday, October 29th. Thereafter, you will be temporarily precluded from accessing your online inventory until your new MWC Cellar account is successfully activated.  We will be migrating data from our legacy systems to our new systems over the weekend and will be onboarding clients in phases beginning Monday November 2nd. We expect to have all clients onboarded into the new system by Wednesday November 4th.

To alert you to the activation of your account, you will receive an email with your login credentials and instructions to access the new client portal.

MWC Cellar, our new client portal, will be a significant upgrade over the existing VPC in terms of ease of use.  Some of the new and improved features include:

  • Modern e-commerce-like online experience—fill up your cart and “check out”
  • Responsive web design that is device and OS agnostic to ensure the same experience on mobile as on desktop, regardless of who makes your device
  • More detailed forms for passing pickup or delivery instructions to reduce unnecessary communications
  • Improved reporting and account activity notifications
  • Ability to associate documents and images to activity events on your account
  • Detailed wine overviews that enable users to pull bottles from specific containers
  • No more Adobe Flash!

In addition to the new WMS and client portal, we are also slated to roll out our new last mile delivery sms notification system and a new online payment portal. We hope to have both of these systems live later in November.

The last mile delivery system will be used by MWC’s truck dispatcher, drivers and clients to enhance the customer service experience for pickups and drop-offs. Clients will be notified via text messages when their order(s) are in process and provided a web link to track our driver en route to their destination (think: UBER). Clients will also provide electronic signatures verifying receipt directly into the driver’s mobile device (assuming we resume contact deliveries) and will even have the ability to provide MWC with feedback on the overall pickup/delivery experience so that we can continue to improve our services.

MWC’s new online payment portal will be directly integrated with our accounting software. The new payment portal will enable clients to click on emailed invoices and pay the open invoice directly online in a safe and secure website.  From within the payment portal, clients will also have the ability to manage and store credit cards in the PCI-compliant site, review invoices and accounting statements and schedule payments on open invoices/balances.

Thank you for your patience in advance as we work through the transition from our legacy systems to these new platforms in the coming weeks. We are incredibly excited to be introducing all of these new services in short order and look forward to getting your feedback. As always, thank you for choosing to store your collection with MWC—we appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you for years to come.

Best,
