Whiskey project from the folks at Ferm (fermentation consultants for anybody that’s anybody as well as somebodies and nobodies with the funds and good sense to buy in), this rye was so good I immediately started inquiring into buying a full barrel for the shop (stay tuned). Cardamom and caraway explode out of the glass, giving you a near-caricature of that rye profile, while the body exudes a beautiful balance of dry sprightliness and treacle-slick viscosity. Its rare to see a bottle of something be so far ahead of the pack in every way.
