Biodynamic since 2018, and organic since 2009! This wine, farmed from a UNESCO world heritage site at the Château de Brézé, is one of the perennial values in dry Chenin Blanc. From 40 year old vines growing within the Clos' parcels containing sand and limestone, vinified entirely in stainless. Lean and nervy, while alluding to classic pear and mineral aromas that Chenin Blanc growing in the Loire always evokes. Just a hint of density to this Chenin, otherwise quite dry and lean. Versatile at the table and great in aperitif, a great all-purpose wine to have on hand in quantity. Fun fact: French royalty used to trade Château de Brézé wines for Château d'Yquem. To give you an idea in what sort of esteem this wine was terroir regarded!
