Domaine de Marquiliani - Vin de Corse Rose, Gris de Marquiliani 2018

$29.99 | 24+ Bottles

The ancient Marquiliani estate dates to the Genoese era and has been farmed by the Amalric family since the 1950s. Here the flatland begins rising dramatically towards the Corsican mountains, creating a terroir that has enjoyed a legacy of great vine growing for centuries. The schist and granite soils combined with cool nights and a higher altitude setting creates the ideal environment for growing grapes capable of producing memorable, energetic wines with a distinct sense of place. Sit down with a bottle over a few hours at the table and watch its quiet complexity unfold layer by layer, or just throw a chill on it and let it quench your thirst on a hot day. It’s equally at home in both settings.

Domaine du Bagnol - Cassis Rose 2019

$29.99 | 19 Available

A stunning example of how rosé can ride the fine line between accessible and deep, this is Mediterranean wine at its loveliest. Cool fermented and lightly filtered Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault that evokes the south of France in a clear and distinct way. Dry but still well textured, this is clearly several notches above your standard pink plonk. Certified organic and practicing biodynamic.

Bailly-Reverdy - Sancerre Chavignol 2019

$27.99 | 24+ Available

A gorgeous, classic example of Sancerre, full of all the racy acidity, chalky minerality, and grapefruit zest you need to up your summer lounge game. This is robust yet clean, pristine Sancerre that is a lovely reminder that the region has such beautiful Sauvignon Blanc on its slopes and that, with a bit of nosing around, truly exceptional bottles can be found. Hand-picked, gently pressed, and cold-fermented to retain its terroir purity and liveliness.

Elena Walch - Pinot Bianco, Kristallberg 2017

$24.99 | 24+ Available

Elena Walch has made a name for her eponymous estate by producing reliably delicious wines in Alto-Adige, and one of the best examples of Pinot Bianco that we've found comes from from her Kristallberg vineyard. Around 15% of the wine is fermented and aged in oak barrels, with the balance raised entirely in steel, lending the wine an inviting balance of both opulence and focus.  The nose is laden with white orchard fruit and white flowers, followed by a shock of alpine brightness.  Crisp and elegant on the palate, there is just the slightest leesy character on an airy frame. This lovely wine is proof that Alto-Adige is one of the most underrated regions in Italy.

Anne Sophie Dubois - Fleurie, Les Labourons 2018

$31.99 | 24+ Available

Spectacular, old-vine gamay grown on the Les Labourons lieu-dit, this is expressive, plush, and giving, a spot-on example of Fleurie. She only uses the best fruit from this parcel and vinifies it for 13 months in large, neutral oak barrels before bottling. We’ve been crazy about the 2018 Beajolais here at the shop and this is a new arrival about which we’ve especially excited.

Bruno Dangin - Cremant de Bourgogne, Cuvee Blanche NV

$26.99 | 24+ Available

Although this is technically a simple Crémant, it drinks much more like the Pinot Noir based bubblies from the Aube in southern Champagne in terms of its length and complexity. The soils in Dangin's vineyards, which he farms organically, are identical to what you find across the Champagne border. In the cellar these bottles are treated exactly as you'd expect from a top grower producer in Champagne. You won't find a better value in the world of sparkling wine.
